South Durham Structures are proud to sponsor Newton Aycliffe Juniors FC U7's team, read more below on the team's success.

NAJFC U7's have had a tremendous first season in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance League. The squad played ten matches in a small league against Billingham Synthonia FC, Darlington TSC, Stranton FC, Pools Youth and Billingham United. The team were a force to be reckoned with from the first game through to the last, winning all 10 matches to be crowned league champions. They were only one of four teams in the entire Teesside Junior Football Alliance to win all their games that season, an outstanding achievement itself.

Due to the TJFA season finishing early in the year, the squad were entered into the Russell Foster League on a Saturday in order to continue playing each weekend. The boys played 12 matches against opposition from all over the North East. Of the 12 games the team secured 8 wins and 3 draws losing only 1 match, as a result the team were runners-up in a strong Russell Foster division.

On June 18th the team took part in a pre-season tournament organised by Hemlington Juniors. The team played against 9 other teams to make it to the final. The sheer talent of the team was highlighted by the fact that the goalkeeper scored not one but two goals from a goal kick. Once they got to the final things were slightly harder and the match was taken to a tense penalty shoot-out. The team won the penalty shoot-out and

ultimately the tournament in what turned out to be a very exciting first tournament for the boys.

The team will be U8's in the upcoming season where it is hoped they will be selected for Division 1 of the TJFA Sunday League, due to their succes in the U7's league. With a team as talented as this it can be said with certainty that an exciting season lies ahead.
